During 2010 and 2011 Wilmott was an artist in residence in Downtown Kingston, Jamaica. ROKTOWA was an artist collective housed in the original Red stripe factory, Downtown Kingston. The project was created by Director Melinda Brown and supported by Jamaican Artist Laura Facey.

The Food Place' utilized the skills of and was inspired by 'Sand' and 'Banton' (See above) who ran a successful Ital food cook shop in coronation market for a number of years. Collaborating with the Danish artist Amalie B Lunoe and UK based artist Laura Shimmin they administered and found funding possibilities for the Food Place. The food Place sought to provide the local resident artists with a self sustaining income, whilst promoting the health benefits of authentic Jamaican food, 'The food place relocated and is still being run by Banton' and 'Sand' in new premises, along with 'The Yabba Project' created in Downtown Kingston. The Yabba Project is a cultural space devoted to developing the talents of young people in the areas of arts, music, cooking and furniture building. Part of Wilmott's involvement was inviting artists to participate in the ROKTOWA artist in Residence programme, encouraging an exchange of creative practices. AIR Laura Shimmins paintings depicted the enormous range of local produce from the near by Downtown Market and the creative genius of local culinary artists and carpenters. An exhibition of her paintings was held in the ROKTOWA gallery and curated by Wilmott and Lunoe.
